Combine School Dance Camp 2006
Hi all! Combine School Dance Camp 2006 was over. Sad :( It was held on the 28th December 2006. It was so fun & great! It was held in Crescent Girls' School. It's organised by some of Crescent's, Nan Hua's, Chung Cheng's (Yishun), Tanglin's & Nan Chiau's fellow secondary 3 dancers (including me!)! Thanks Crescent, Nan Hua, Chung Cheng, Tanglin & my fellow Nan Chiau's dance juniors & some secondary 3 dancers!
Everyone had done great! Keep it up!
We arrived Crescent at 12.45pm. Joyce, a crescent dancer, was there waiting to welcome us! She led us to their dance studio to rest or bags there. Then we went to the hall. I was very worried at that time. Nan Chiau dance was the most disorganised dance troupe there as NC dance had lost it's spirit. The rest was so united! Oh no... So I told them to gather at one corner and spoke to them. I told them to be vigilant, obedient, enthusiastic and put in all their effort in everything.
After that, all 5 schools were doing warm ups together. After warm ups, all the schools were scrambled and split into 10 groups. They had ice-breaking games and other games within their groups. I wanted to play too! But I was supposed to patrolling around. No really patrol, just walked around and helped up. I was supposed to pick a Nan Chiau dancer from group 3 & 4 each to be the leader of their respective groups. At first, I picked winnie & min min but both of them doesn't want to so end up I picked Joyce & Lydia, both from crescent. At first, I rested at group 5 and joined their game. But they haven't even started, I mean, they didn't know what to do for ice-breaking game. Arww. I saw min min quite left out in group 4. So I walked to group 4 and joined them. They were playing whacko & a bunch of Nan Hua's graduates were there too. All of them had finished introducing themselves already. Nevermind, as they were playing, I started to know their names & recognised their faces. At first, when I sat beside min min, nobody knows that I was trying to join in their games. Not till Hann Binn, a Nan Hua Graduate, spotted me. He started to told the rest to sabo me. Before that, they were sabo touching Joyce & Valerie. Then, he was trying to sabo touch me. Too bad! I had known most of the people already & my reaction is always fast in this kinda game. Hahahaha!
Next, all the groups combined & played "Blow wind blow". None of the NC dancers were being punished or what. They were mostly Nan Hua's dancers. After mass games, we had our short tea-break. Then, we had our mass dancing. After mass dancing, all schools must show their syf items. But for nan chiau, special case, ours is the only school that are not choreographed by Mr Low. Due to the copyrights problem, we were not allowed to perform. Sad :( The performance of other schools were so great! Nan Chiau had prepared our own performing items too. For dance international dancers, they had done well. For chinese dancer, we had done as well too! A roar of applause for nan chiau dancers!
Lastly, we had gift exchange programmes. They mixed up the gift and we took one each. Michelle, the dance president of crescent, played the music and we passed around the gifts. When they stopped playing the music, the gift in our hands is ours. I had gotten a candle. Then it was time for packing & dismissal and left around 5.30pm.
We had our debrief on our way back in the bus. We had cheers. Everyone was really united this time! Really united! Love my juniors lots. They wanted such camps and wanted combine trainings too! They wanted Combine Camp 2007 to be held in Nan Chiau. In the past two years, it was held in Nan Hua, the hall is big. This year, it was held in Crescent, the hall is air-conditioned. Our hall is as big as nan hua's & air-conditioned. Our juniors want to invite them to our school. Now, it's up to principal to aprove it.
Bye!

Please Respect
[The names were not mentioned to protect the people's identity. I don't mind the person I'm refering to all along is reading this entry. In fact, I hope you know who you are. If this post is offensive to you, I'm sorry but hope you'll change.]
Both the presidents weren't there for today's training as they had something on in the afternoon. So the secretary is responsible to take over the group. Some seniors & both presidents told me what to do for today's practice. As I was told at the very last minute, I'd no time to jot down what they had told me but to store it in my brain. It would be irresponsible if the secretary didn't follow what she was told. So I followed but I had no time to tell the rest. Both Event ICs were having high fever. So they did not attend the training.
Usually, when someone in the group is speaking, be it the person is taking the lower position or just ordinary member, I'll keep quiet and listen. Even if she interferes while I was speaking, I'll keep quiet and listen. I seldom shouted (as in scolding) my juniors. I don't like to scold. It'll hurt others. I don't abuse my authority. I only shouted at them when their behaviour is not acceptable.
Somebody, who is 4 position lower in ranking than me was doing something over my head. She had been shouting at the juniors in unacceptable manner. She doesn't respect the secretary's decision. In fact is not my decision, is my senior & the presidents'. She kept giving commands without my behalf. She's abusing her authority. WORST OF ALL DEMANDING ME & SHOUTED AT ME! I've been respecting her all along, even when she interrupts. She had gone overboard this time. Shouting at somebody who is higher in position than you is seriously unacceptable. What's the logic?! Can she respect everyone? Even the juniors?
Actually, I hate to talk about the ranks & positions, discrimination in ranks... etc... Why everything must have rank? I would rather be an ordinary member, where everyone is the same. If there are such things as ranks & positions, people fight for high ranks, abusing their authorities?
I hope the person who shouted at me would change her character and attitude. It would be bad for her when she steps up & work in the society if she doesn't change. What if some one she thinks who doesn't deserve to hold a higher position than her happenes to be hold the higher position? What if the person is petty? Hope she'll really change.
Please respect people. She's a nice person to play with and talk to. But whenever it comes to making decision in a group, well, hope she'll be as nice too =)
[Well, I think I'm too much to post this in my blog. Sorry.]

Lalalalala...
I've skipped the chinese dance lesson today as I couldn't finish my homework and my mum had something important to attend & I need to take care of my little siblings. Arggh! I felt so bad for skipping chinese dance class. But I really couldn't help it. I finally got to open the swiss dark chocolate bar I'd bought long time ago. It's so nice but my elder brother didn't enjoy it. The rest of the siblings love it and asked for more. I love it too! ESPECIALLY DARK CHOCOLATE! Yummy!
My brother saw my previous entry about him & his rubbish car. He's face turned red with embarassment. Haha! But he still continue to play his "imagination" game when my mother left. He imagine that he was the rubbish collector. Not again. He started to drive the rubbish car (my bed). Making the noise that produced by rubbish car. He is very observant. He knows everything about the rubbish car which carries the rubbish produced in my neighbourhood.
Talking about "Imagination", it reminds me of one of the episode of SpongeBob Squarepants, where by Patrick bought a television set for the sake of big box. He threw away the television set and kept the big box to play the game of "Imagination" in the big box with Spongebob. They can make out anything in the big box which irritates squidward. (the box is my room, my brother is spongebob, my sister is patrick & I'm squidward? [No Way! - I don't wanna be squidward!] Let's get back to the story.) One day, squidward decided to get into the box and wonder what's so fun about the box. So when he get in, he pretended that he was driving on a bulldozer. He really heard the sound of the bulldozer -- actually, it's a real bulldozer, carrying him to the rubbish dump. Hahas! (Rubbish dump again).
My uncle is coming to whitewash my house wall tomorrow. The wall is full of my sister's master piece. She often doodles on the wall despite we've warned her not to doodle. We've washed away those "drawings" but she continues doodling & the worst of all, with permanent marker ink. So no choice but to whitewash the wall.
So many things going on next whole week. I wanna complete my homework as soon as possible. I hate last minute work, yet I'm doing it. So goodbye people!

I don't know what to write for the title
The sound of the Christmas bells is getting louder. Many people are waiting for Christmas. But I'm not that looking forward to Christmas unless I can finish my homework by tomorrow. Or, if Christmas can last longer. Hahas! Many many homework undone. I still have Additional Mathematics test on 27 Dec! Oh dear! All the formulae turn rusty during the holidays. I don't think I'll be able to attend my dance class tomorrow if I can't complete my homework in the morning. ARHH! Sorry Mdm Ong. I don't mean to skip your lesson. In fact, you should know that I LOVE DANCING! Yeaa... Sigh...
My Shitstead could not find her A-maths text. She sounded so serious yet I was in crapping mood. I told her to throw a search party -- Everyone must wear party hats, we must have banners, cakes & blah blah blah... Sounded like birthday party. I'm lame!
I just couldn't concentrate on my homework! I was bothered by my little brother who kept mimic the sound of the rubbish car. He always looks out of the window when the rubbish collector came down to the void deck to clear the refuse from the rubbish dump. He'll then do exactly what the rubbish collector did. RUBBISH CAR! Hahas. His dream car? He always pretends that my bed is his rubbish car. Wow! I've been sleeping on his rubbish car for years? Oh dear. Hahas. Well, that's little kid. Especially little boy.
Second thing that's bothering me is handphone. Messages! My juniors were asking me things about the training. No choice. I'm a busy woman! That's what my mum says all the time. I'm always using my handphone, computer & keep receiving calls. My mum often tease me if my business is doing well.
I'm stuck here. I think I would rather end here. See ya people!

My yesterday's Life
I'm not suppose to use the computer today. I'm lazy to explain. Yesterday's weather is so good! Finally, the sun came out, the storm had finally stop... As what I'd predicted. I told my friends that it would not rain for the rest of that day, the most drizzling for a while. But my friends told me it's monsoon season so it might rain in the afternoon. So we did not intend to carry out mass washing. We changed our mind when we realised that we haven't return the spanish dance's costume we had borrowed from Crescent Girls' Dance. Those costumes were in horrible conditions. They were very dusty & musty. Some even turned yellowish and moulds have grown on them. YUCKS! How are we going to return them on 28th? No choice but to wash them.
During the lunch break, I had my lunch at 7-eleven. Siyu called me to buy ATTACK washing powder on my way back. I didn't know that it was ment for washing those costumes. In fact, we are not supposed to wash those costumes with washing powder, it will damage the costumes. I thought that Shu wen wanted to help her mother to buy washing powder. When I returned back to school, Shu wen told me that it is used for washing the costumes. Winnie told them that we are not suppose to use washing powder on costumes. But nobody really listen. They finally start washing at 3pm. And a series of unhappy things happened which I don't want to mention here. But the main thing is, some costumes were being damaged by washing powder. How are we going to explain to the Crescent Girls' Dancers?
I reached home late. Around 8.12pm. It was so late and my mum was very worried. I had not been talking to stella since the end of november. We hardly went home together so we went to buy kueh tu tu & ferrera roche. We went to the interchanged. We'd a lot to chat about and we skipped the bus 119. Therefore I reached home so late. After shower, someone called me and talked till 9.30pm. We were talking about serious matters. I had my dinner at 9.30pm. Poor dinner, it must be jealous of dance, stella, costumes & the phone call. It had been waiting for me since 7pm. Sorry dinner!
After dinner, I helped my mother to dress her bed. She had washed the bedsheet in the morning due to the great weather that I had predicted. After that, I went to sleep. I slept for 12 hours. I was so tired! My right arm hurts! My today's life -- eat, sleep, shower, blog, homework. Nothing else. Bored!
See you!

Feeling So sick
I have not been feeling well the pass few days. I'm so sick and lots of homework to complete. The heavy downpour is making me shivering. Can't blame much! My body is not getting stronger. I have dance training tomorrow. We supposed to have mass washing but it has been raining cats and dogs for these three days. Arggh! Must work on plan B for tomorrow.
I was reading my juniors' blogs. I was quite hurt when I read a few entries which one of my juniors had posted on her blog:
"dance. im all so stress out. i hav miss alot of dance liao. syf dance, jazz dance, ketcup, spanish dance. freak. how am i goin to learn all dis in jus 3 lessons?? and somemore da is a dance camp coming up. right. i rather go bang my head against de wall. "
"im so damn worried for de dance lar. and somemore 20 hav to stay until 6pm. bullshit. for some washing of de clothes. like laundry dae. and i hav to master 3 dance. ARGH. don tink i wil make it. hav de image of me bursting out in tears in side de dance rm due to over stress ........ =.-"
"have still not recovered frm de cough and runny nose. all the shit coming to me. dance is one of de down right shit of all. bud it wouldnt be so shit if i attend those practices. bud it wasnt my fault. lol bud at least i have xxx xxx to pei me cos she olso haven learn de 3 dances. har thks xxx xxx love ya."
The above extracts are VERY HURTFUL. She should have told any senior about her doubts instead of pushing the blame on dance for making her stressful or sick. It's all right to tell us that she's sick and quite worry that she could not make it. She doesn't have too scold dance "bullshit".
However, I was comforted by the other junior's entry:
"in preparation for the dance camp coming up on the 28th at CGS! My favourite ones includes Jazz and the yeah yeah yeah one. lol. so punk. yeah. it was fun like shit! Our seniors also came back to help and they were damn nice! There was this guy he did pole dancing!!! it was so OMG! Even the security guard who was there at that point of time cheered like mad. LOL.It was the best times i've had in my sec one life yeah. Dance rocks my life!"
Love her lots! I was so contented that most of my juniors enjoyed those dance camps. I hope my body will recover by tomorrow. I shall be a tough day. See ya pals!

Finally back to blogging
I have not been blogging for so long. My tagboard was spammed too. Haha! I don't have time to blog during the pass few weeks. I'm busy with dance. Yes, dance! Our school dance troupes are going to Crescent girls school for combine school dance camp and we need to do lots of preparation work. I don't want our school to be the worst there. So we need to put in lots of effort and organise camps for our fellow juniors to get them prepared. If not I'm afraid they can't get used to Crescent style of trainings. We still need to teach them items for mass dancing. They are already settled anyway. And also the 3 dance items to perform on that day. That's almost settled. Just left with brushing up work to do. And also get them used to the warm ups.
But firstly, we must get chinese dance & dance international too glue together and build a strong bond within us. That's hard work. We spent 3 trainings. Yupps. Conflicts may arise sometimes but once they are settled just don't ever mention them again. All the credits must go to yong xuan. He came to help up on the 8 dec and settled the items for mass dancing, warm ups, games & all the conflicts. (My goodness, Yong Xuan has changed a lot. He used to be the devil of dance & wushu. He was so fierce and everyone was scared of him. His presence used to be a disaster. But this time he was so nice & settled everything for us.) Thanks a lot! =)
My mother complains that I have poor time management. I've been busy with dancing. Yea. Because i've been busy for dance camps & saturday dance class & even next year's chingay. My goodness. I'm taking o level next year but I'm participating in Chingay and SYF! My homeworks are waiting for me to complete. Sorry homework, I really have no time to touch you. I think my homework are jealous of dance, my handphone & computer. I've been bothering them almost every day!
I'm also busy with dance & wushu's blog. I must update it often so people will visit often. Oh well, i think i should end here! See you people!
